Principal's Message

FROM THE PRINCIPAL'S DESK

At Louis M. Klein Middle School we are dedicated to continuous improvement.  This includes not only a comprehensive academic program, but also a focus on the physical, emotional and social environment for students.   Attention is given to ensuring that students deepen their interpersonal and intrapersonal skills.   They are challenged to develop and refine these skills and their abilities so that they are ready for the challenges of high school and higher level education.

Throughout the year the staff engages in professional development to deepen pedagogical and content knowledge.   This becomes part of the planning for instruction in our classrooms. We offer a rigorous and comprehensive academic program that is standards-based. The program consists of core and encore classes that provide students with a rich and diverse course of study.  Core classes are English Language Arts, mathematics, science and socials studies.  Encore classes are Languages other than English (French, Italian, Spanish), music (band, chorus, general music, orchestra), physical education, art, digital literacy, health and technology.    It is within this pursuit that we continue our commitment to the social, emotional, and intellectual growth of our students. In addition, our learning community has a variety of extracurricular opportunities including various clubs and athletics.

Our goal is to create a community where students develop a life long love of learning. We encourage you to reach out to us with questions as we develop our partnership with you and your child/children.

Principal
